🐻💚💙 WELCOME BACK, BERRYHILL BEARS! 💙💚🐻
We are SO excited to welcome our Berryhill Bears and Cubbies back to school on Monday, October 19th!
As our families, students, and staff continue recovering from Hurricane Isaias, we know that returning to our normal routines may take a little extra time and patience. We ask for everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we work together to make this transition as smooth and safe as possible.
📢 IMPORTANT BACK-TO-SCHOOL REMINDERS
🚗 CAR RIDERS & AFTERNOON PICKUP
We anticipate that we may have an increased number of car riders due to the impact of the hurricane. This could result in longer car lines and additional wait times during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.
Your patience is especially important for the safety of our students, families, and staff! Please allow yourself extra time, remain alert, and follow all traffic directions. Our number one priority is getting every child to and from school safely.
* Our School Resource Officer, Deputy Killingsworth, will be directing traffic during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup. Please follow his directions to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
* Buses ALWAYS have the right-of-way on the bus ramp! Please remain alert and yield to buses at all times.
* The bus ramp will open for car drop-off at approximately 7:55 AM.
* If your child needs extra assistance getting out of the vehicle, please park rather than holding up the car line.
* Afternoon pickup placards are REQUIRED!
* If you do not have your pickup placard, you must park, come inside, and present a government-issued photo ID.
Please remember that everyone is working toward the same goal: keeping our children safe! A little patience and kindness will go a long way!
🏠 HOW IS YOUR CHILD GETTING HOME?
Please make sure your child’s teacher knows how your child will be going home each day.
If your child’s transportation arrangements have changed due to the hurricane, please communicate those changes with your child’s teacher.
🍎 LUNCH MONEY
Please check your child’s lunch account balance and make sure funds are available.
You can add money and set up low-balance notifications through MySchoolBucks:
🥪 FREE & REDUCED-PRICE LUNCH APPLICATIONS
We understand that Hurricane Isaias has created unexpected financial hardships for many of our families.
If your household income or financial circumstances have changed due to the hurricane, you may qualify for free or reduced-price school meals.
Applications can be completed online at:
🚌 BUS RIDERS
* Please have your child at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
* Bus routes may take a little longer than usual as everyone adjusts.
* Afternoon drop-off times may also be later than expected.
* You can track your child’s bus using the My Ride K-12 app.
🐻 KINDERGARTEN BUS RIDERS
An approved adult MUST be present at the bus stop to receive your kindergarten student.
💚💙 A LITTLE EXTRA GRACE GOES A LONG WAY! 💙💚
We recognize that many of our Berryhill families and staff members are still dealing with storm damage, cleanup, displacement, and the challenges that come with recovering from a major hurricane.
Please know that we understand, and we are committed to helping our students feel safe, supported, and loved as they return to school.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and cooperation as we navigate this transition together. A little extra patience, a friendly smile, and a whole lot of grace will make a tremendous difference!
🐻 We can’t wait to see our Bears and Cubbies!
💚💙 It’s GREAT to be a Berryhill Bear! 💙💚
🐻💙💚 IMPORTANT SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE 💚💙🐻

Update from our fabulous PE Coaches... our 3rd - 5th grade students had a two-week kickball season, and we are proud to announce the grade level champions. Throughout the season, students learned essential kickball skills including proper kicking technique, accurate throwing and catching, and strategic base running. The students also demonstrated outstanding teamwork by communicating with teammates, supporting one another in the field, and working together to execute plays. Their collaboration and dedication to mastering both individual skills and team strategies made this season a tremendous success.
Congratulations to our champions:
3rd Grade - Mrs. Moore's Class
4th Grade - Mrs. Leeser's Class
